People can learn to manage stress and lead happier, healthier lives. On Wednesday, October 28th, 2020 (12 Noon EST), Dr. Lamar will be addressing how to redefine wellness during COVID-19 and providing some tips to help you keep stress at bay.
Nicole Rollins-Lamar Psy.D., studied at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, in Chicago where she earned a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Much of her clinical training and professional work has been among ethnically and socioeconomically diverse populations of adolescents and adults with diagnoses ranging from severe mental illness to difficulties in relationships and stress management. The use of evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and established unconditional positive regard have been invaluable tools used in Dr. Lamar’s clinical work.
Dr. Lamar has clinical expertise and experience working within, the juvenile justice system, community mental health centers, and inpatient hospital settings. She has also held adjunct Professor roles at the University of District of Columbia and Grand Canyon University. Having taught in a more traditional on-ground capacity and online courses to include, Social and Cultural Issues in Counseling, Child Development, Research Methods, and Cognitive Psychology.
Dr. Lamar currently serves as an advisory board member of mbue Wellness and works in private practice in Washington DC.
